It's E-Safety Week - How Aware Are You?

The Internet is a fantastic resource for pupils. It can be used for research, school reports, communicate with teachers and friends, and play interactive games. Children who are old enough to use a computer keyboard can key in a few letters on the keyboard and have access to the world.

This kind of access presents hazards.  For example incorrect spellings can bring up all sorts of unwanted material.  This is why it is important to be aware of what your child sees and hears on the Internet, who they meet and also what they are sharing about themselves online.

Not everyone is out to get you, however educating yourself about the dangers will keep you SAFE!!
As with any safety issue it is important to educate yourself and your child about concerns and take advantage of the resources to protect them, keeping a close eye on their activities.

"Think about what has been said kids - share this information with your parents.  Perhaps you don't have to go quite this far in the comfort of your own home!  I wonder if this explicit message is enough?  Hee hee
